This week is being dedicated to women to look at their efforts, achievements and discover their challenges. Therefore, today on the Youth Forum, we will be discussing “Empowerment of women and girls in South Sudan”.
Women and young girls are considered a particularly vulnerable population for violence, specifically physical and sexual violence. This sometimes includes forced marriages. What are programs being put in place to empower women and girls in South Sudan? Do you think women and girls’ empowerment can help in the fight against gender-based violence?
