In South Sudan, water, sanitation and hygiene remains a critical challenge that needs to be addressed to achieve clean water, proper hygiene and sanitation in the country. Most of the communities lack access to clean drinking water with many lacking boreholes, wells among other sources of water. Water borne diseases are then contracted and most of the communities such from Cholera and Malaria because of poor WASH in most of the communities of South Sudan.

Hope Africa South Sudan will work with the local communities to ensure proper WASH is implemented with installation of boreholes that provide clean access to water and improves the hygienic environment in South Sudan.

Provisions of latrines that ensure clean environs are prerequisite towards ensuring proper WASH in South Sudan, Awareness on Sanitation and Hygiene in the local communities, Good Practices such as Schools WASH with establishment of Hygiene clubs in schools leads to good learning and proper guidance of children for a better future, Sanitary pads distribution among the young girls in schools is important.

Hope Africa South Sudan with support from partners will ensure that clean WASH is provided to the local communities in South Sudan.
