Hope Africa South Sudan works towards peaceful co-existence of the local communities for Sustainable Development. HASS aims at building peace structures and involves strengthening community peace and security in South Sudan.

Under the Peace Building, HASS implements a People Centered activity that builds and boost the confidence of the people in living peacefully in their societies.

Over the past 3 years, Hope Africa South Sudan has grown to implement key projects under this sector that includes;

Radio Talkshows to inform the local communities on the importance of peace and sustainable development that involves women and girls rights being observed. Community radio stations have been used as key towards informing the local communities on peace and security.

Hope Africa South Sudan currently is implementing Peace and Community Cohesion Project in partnership with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with support from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Aweil East and Aweil Centre counties of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.

Gender Mainstreaming in Security Sector and Governance inclusion of women and girls is another pillar that is implemented by Hope Africa South Sudan where conflicts resolutions are made through Transformative Conflict Approaches to address violence in the local communities in South Sudan.
